Overview

‍The application is designed to provide a platform for businesses involved in coal trading to buy and sell imported coal. The app allows users to add listings of available coal with all the relevant details and for other users to view these listings and place bids on the products they are interested in. Once both the buyer and the seller agree on a proper price, the deal is closed, and further payment and delivery terms are finalized.

Problem Statement

‍Coal trading is a highly competitive market with many players involved. The process of finding and purchasing coal from reliable sources can be time-consuming, costly, and prone to errors. The challenge was to create an application that could streamline the process and make it easy for businesses to buy and sell imported coal.

User Research‍

The user research process involved interviewing stakeholders involved in the coal trading business, such as coal importers, coal exporters, and coal traders. The research revealed that businesses involved in coal trading were looking for an easy-to-use platform that would allow them to find reliable suppliers, compare prices, and make informed purchasing decisions.

User Personas‍

Based on the user research, we created two user personas:

Based on the user research and personas, we created a user flow that would allow users to seamlessly navigate through the application.

4. Product Details: Users can view the product details such as the origin of the coal, type of coal, and delivery time.

6. Counter Offer: Sellers receive bids and can make counter offers.
7. Negotiation: Buyers and sellers negotiate the price until they arrive at a final deal.
8. Payment and Delivery: Payment and delivery terms are finalized, and the deal is closed.
9. Notification: Users receive notifications when there is a new bid, when a seller responds to a bid, or when a deal has been closed.
10. Messaging: Buyers and sellers can communicate with each other using the app's messaging feature.
